MEDIA COVERAGE AND PRESS RELEASES

Kanetix rolls out East. Auto insurance quotes now only a click away in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland.

TORONTO, May 10, 2000 - Kanetix®, Canada's online insurance marketplace, today extended its Web-based automobile insurance quotation service to eastern provinces New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.

"We are very pleased to be the first insurance marketplace to launch in these provinces," said Gregory Ellis, Co-founder, Kanetix. "Our service gives drivers the ability to compare different insurance quotes all in one place. We truly believe we have created a unique approach that will change how consumers shop for insurance."

Kanetix's Quotemaker walks visitors through five easy steps, asking for only basic driver and vehicle information. The insurance quote calculating service generates up to six insurance quotes from different providers, in less time than it takes to receive only one by traditional means. Consumers can complete the transaction online or by telephone.

"You may find a rate that is lower than you've ever seen, or you may just be reassured that you are getting a great rate with your current provider," said Ellis. "Either way, Kanetix helps make your insurance decisions easier."

Consumers can also access and compare quotes on life insurance.
