I left my keys hanging in the door to my condo last night. Luckily no one noticed, or if they did, were honest enough not to break in. My question is this though, had someone decided to enter my unit and steal stuff would my property insurance have covered me? It would have been my fault I guess...but was wondering.

I did the same only with my car keys! They were hanging in the car door. Not sure had my car been stolen if it would be covered or not either. thoughts?

There are many variables to consider in these questions.
The answer depends firstly on the type of home policy you have. Secondly, it depends on the insurance company. It also depends on if the door was locked or not, and whether or not there was a police report filed. Without all that information, it's hard to give you a definitive answer.
I can tell you however, for the stolen items in the car, technically they are not covered under your auto insurance but they are covered under your home insurance policy (assuming you have one) and are subject to the deductible.
This question would be better left to ask your car or home insurance broker who can tell you how your specific coverage would respond to your individual situation.
