Posted by Guest on 2009/09/17 10:24:37 Auto insurance policies in Canada do cover drivers while on vacation in the U.S., up to certain time limits which may vary by insurer. Holidays lasting 6 months of the year or more, such as Canadian Snowbirds travelling south, usually require special insurance to cover them. Otherwise, vacations are covered in the U.S.

Since the post above, (by Sean Graham) indicates that time limits vary by insurer it is better to be safe than sorry. A simple call to your insurer will ensure you are covered when you need it most.
