I'm just wondering, when does the law prohibiting the use of cell phones while driving come into effect?

According to the Ministry of Transportation¿s website the law (Bill 118) will not come into effect until sometime in the fall of 2009.

There¿s been a lot of emails going around indicating the law went into effect on September 1st. I got two them myself! Turns out though that this is untrue according to the MTO site.
