What Canadian provinces have a cell phone ban in place already?

Here¿s what I¿ve been able to find online, but if you¿re in doubt about whether or not you should take that call while driving the best advice is to wait until you get to your destination or pull over. Your driving requires your full attention.

- Saskatchewan is planning to introduce legislation in the fall of 2009 that will ban texting and handheld cellphone use while driving.

- Ontario¿s Bill 118 is expected to come into effect sometime in the fall of 2009. It will ban use of hand-held devices while driving.

- Newfoundland and Labrador was the first province in Canada to ban the use of hand-held cellphones back in April 2003.

- Quebec and Nova Scotia banned the use of cellphones while driving back in April 1, 2008.

It¿s been reported that Alberta, Manitoba, P.E.I and New Brunswick are also looking to ban talking or texting while driving.

Ontario's Bill 118 comes into effect on October 26th, 2009
