| What happens if you decide to ignore a travel warning? | |
| I remember a while back with the H1N1 scare in Mexico the Canadian government issued a travel warning. I heard of people going regardless. Would their travel insurance have covered them if they had become sick? Posted by Guest on 2009/12/31 12:09:28 Travel insurance is meant to protect you in the event of unexpected and unforeseen events. Your decision to ignore a travel warning could mean you're expecting the unexpected and you may not be covered, depending on your insurance coverage. Check out the following article titled, " Travel warnings: When issued are you covered?" on the Kanetix.ca site. It offers more information on the topic. To see if where you are going has a travel warning visit the Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada website. Posted by admin on 2009/12/31 12:18:52 |
