I'm thinking about becoming a fire fighter. Do firefighters get discounts on their car or home insurance? Or do they pay more because of their jobs?

Typically, as a fire fighter, your car and home insurance wouldn't be affected unless the fire fighters¿ union had a deal in place for group rates with an insurer, in which case you are likely eligible for a discount.
