Which cars have the lowest insurance rates?

It's important to note that your car type alone will not ensure you have a low insurance rate. Every insurer uses different factors, along with your vehicle type, in order to calculate your premium including:

• where you live


• how you use your car


• your driving record


• the driving record of additional drivers


• the optional coverages you choose


• the deductibles you choose

*This list is made up of the most common factors used across most provinces in Canada. There may be other items factored in as well, depending on where you live.

As a side note, car colour is NOT a factor in deciding your car insurance premium ;)
