How can a Canadian find UK motorhome insurance for a vehicle he buys in the UK?

As a Canadian citizen, you cannot get quotes for a vehicle you would be purchasing and driving in the UK, in Canada. In order to get insurance coverage for a UK vehicle, you will need to get insurance through a UK licensed insurance company.

You didn't specify where in the UK you intend to buy your motor home, but it might be helpful for you to know that with a bit of searching, you might be able to find a UK insurance provider that may be able to credit you for some of your Canadian driving experience. Your best bet would be to track down a bunch of different brokers in the UK and compare their rates to see which one offers you the best premium. Be prepared to provide documentation, including a drivers abstract and claims experience letter.
