Did car insurance go up this year compared to last year?

My insurance went from $2465 /2009 to $3552/ 2010 almost $1100 increase does this make any sense. Did car insurance go up this high from last year to this one? I have no accidents, no claim, no late payments, no one was added to our insurance, so I don't understand why. Can someone help?
