Hi! I am planning to drive to Toronto, Canada from the U.S.Currently I have car insurance coverage from my U.S insurance company. After doing some research I found out that I will need to do register my car within 30 days under Canadian registration etc. However I have a couple questions. Hope you can help me out:

1. I am planning on going on vacation for a little over a month within 30 days of arriving to Canada-can I wait on switching insurance on my car until after I return back?

2. Where can I find a quotes on changing the mileage from miles to kilometers.

Just trying figure out whether it'll be easier to just sell my car and buy another one in Canada instead.
