When I moved I assumed because I was getting a new mortgage (different bank) that I needed to get mortgage insurance through them and that my mortgage insurance policy connected to my former home would no longer be valid. So I did, and a year later I realized that I should have carried over my former insurance. Now i realize that I have been paying 2 different insurance companies for the same mortgage the past year. Can I recoup any of my premiums. I;ve basically been paying double??????????????

Unfortunately, we do not handle mortgage insurance however your best option is contact both companies involved to see if there is an appropriate resolution.
