Insurance is provincially regulated. The Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) regulates all insurers operating in Ontario. The Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO) regulated all Insurance Brokers in the province. FSCO is a government body and RIBO is a self regulated entity. Both are unbiased bodies which seek to regulate the insurance industry fairly. You can contact FSCO if you have an issue with an Insurance Company. If you are looking specifically to find an organization which will seek the detriment of an insurer you always have the option to seek civil litigation.
