Is the condo owner deemed to be an "insured" when it comes to the insurance policy? For example, if I experience a loss which is covered by the insurance policy, does the insurance company have an obligation to deal with me as the "insured" or is the Condo Board or the identified property manager as far as they have to go?

I am assuming in this case you are the actual condo owner and you have purchased condo insurance for your unit. If you experience a loss your insurance company will deal with you directly since you are the 'named insured' under the policy. If there is a need, depending on the type of loss, to speak with the condo corp. or property manager in order to settle the claim then your insurer will do so and also has the right to do so.
