Require content insurance at storage unit facility in Ont
Question
We sold our home and currently have no permenant address yet. Our personal belongings have been put is storage and may stay there for 6 to 9 months until we purchase a new home. Since we don't have home insurance anymore, there is no content coverage. What is available?

Contents in storage coverage is not a product commonly sold by mainstream insurance companies. This coverage is commonly available through a wholesale broker who specializes in niche products. A quick Google search on 'contents in storage insurance' will lead you to multiple providers. My personal belief is that if your contents are locked up securely in a reputable facility then there is little need for such insurance. However, if you are storing the items in a container on your own property then insurance is very difficult to find and expensive.
