Position Description:
We are looking for an individual interested in contributing to the continued successful growth of our Software as a Service (SaaS) team. The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for capturing and documenting the functional requirements around which we can develop a solution for our clients. They will also help to develop and maintain the client relationships by providing status updates, leading meetings and working closely with our Development team to meet a high standard of delivery. Attention to detail is a must for this role. This position should appeal to candidates who prefer an informal, but fast-paced, environment of a young, successful Internet company located in a loft style office in downtown Toronto.
Accountabilities:
Work with internal and external clients to understand, gather and document requirements.
Develop functional design documents, obtain sign offs and coordinate user acceptance tests.
Participate on various projects and initiatives, working in a fast paced team setting with the Development and Quality Assurance Teams.
Assist the Account Managers with their tasks if/when needed
Provide leadership, guidance and mentoring to other team members, conduct peer reviews of artifacts before sharing them with a Client.
Work with Project Managers to facilitate project deliverables and liaise with technical and business staff on the development and actualization of the requirements.
Evaluate opportunities to leverage existing Kanetix systems/technologies.
Collaborate with the Development team and other stakeholders in the testing of new software programs and applications.
Lead functional testing efforts for enhancements, fixes and upgrades.
Job Qualifications:
Five or more years of business analysis experience
Experience in an e-commerce environment
Excellent analytical, attention to detail, problem solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills
Understanding of BA processes and experience with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies
Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, open concept office environment
Proven track record of delivering on time, on budget, and meeting client commitments
Strong PC skills, specifically in a Windows environment; Proficient with Microsoft Office
Insurance industry experience is considered an asset
CBAP certification is considered an asset
