RSS Feeds
RSS, otherwise known as "Really Simple Syndication", is used by websites to publish content such as articles, news, audio and video from various sources to a variety of different users such as other websites or individuals who wish to subscribe and have access to the latest content.
The advantage for some is that when subscribing to a RSS feed, users do not have to disclose their email address, and users can "unsubscribe" by simply removing the feed from their feed reader.
